The dream can come true…
Your Spicy Curry needs a 26″ telescopic fork with a 1.5″ steerer tube diameter. This is not a common diameter, and was only used for extreme mountain biking, as the Spicy Curry uses a reinforced fork steerer tube. The alternative is to fit a tapered steerer fork (1.5”/ 1”1/8), also changing the top of the headset from 1.5” to 1”1/8 and the stem to 1”1/8.
Tapered-pivot forks are currently a widespread standard. A travel of around 80 mm is more than sufficient. However, this will slightly raise the front of your bike, so the kickstand will no longer touch the ground. You’ll need to place a shim between the frame and the kickstand to compensate for this imbalance.
Sounds complicated? Then don’t hesitate to ask a bicycle professional for help. On Spicy Curry All terrain, we use SR Suntour XCR32 80mm or RST Pulse Air 27.5-15 TNL 80mm” forks.
