Adventure Out is California’s premier outdoor facility specializing in surf lessons and camps, rock climbing lessons, backpacking, mountain biking, wilderness survival lessons and adventure travel.
They are fully committed to protecting the environment – as a member of 1% for the planet, Adventure Out donates a part of their proceeds to the conservation of natural habitats. Founder Cliff Hodges says his mission is to “provide a program & environment that empowers and supports people of all walks of life to achieve their wildest adventures in the outdoors, while fostering a respect for and connection to the environment.”
The Adventure Out surf school wanted to offer a structure that lends itself towards zero carbon emissions. To do so, the team was looking for a solution to transport surfboards from their warehouse to the beach every day. The Kombi cargo bike has allowed them to replace gas guzzling vehicles and promise a zero-emission surf school.
