That's the whole secret of the Kombi: it's our ultimate "compact" bike! With its incredibly manageable length, it has the exact same footprint and agility as a classic city bike. It weaves through town, zips through traffic and is super easy to park on standard bike racks.
The Kombi is the ideal companion for urban families! You can comfortably fit up to 2 children (and even 3 depending on their size and age) or 1 adult on its extended rear rack. Its ultra-robust rack is specially designed to adapt to your growing family over the years.
For peaceful rides, proper foot support is essential. Use Pegs for shorter legs, or switch to AlloyBoards / Kombi SideBoards from around the age of 6.> ⚠️ Mandatory safety: It is absolutely essential to ride with Wheelskirts on your cargo bike to prevent feet or clothing from getting caught in the spokes. That is why all our Yuba bikes come equipped with them as standard. If you are buying a second-hand bike, check that they are present. At Yuba, your little passengers' safety is our absolute priority. To guarantee peaceful and comfortable rides every single day, we recommend equipping your rear rack according to your children's age: • For under 5s: Install up to two Thule Yepp baby seats (Yepp 2 Maxi or Yepp Nexxt 2 Maxi) directly onto the rack. • For the perfect combo of safety and comfort (5-10 years old): We recommend our safety rails (Monkey Bars or EZ Monkey Bars, which are ideal for letting kids climb on by themselves), paired with two Mini Soft Spot cushions, Safety Belts, and Compact AlloyBoards or Kombi SideBoards to keep their feet securely in place.
The 24-inch wheels offer the perfect compromise for a compact cargo bike. They lower the bike's centre of gravity, giving you incredible stability at low speeds, even with heavy loads. The Kombi remains dynamic, smooth-rolling and reassuring from the very first pedal stroke.
