At Yuba, the safety of your little passengers is our absolute priority. To ensure peaceful and comfortable rides every day, we recommend equipping your rear rack according to the age of your children: - For under 5s: Install two Thule Yepp child seats (Yepp 2 Maxi or Yepp Nexxt 2 Maxi) directly onto the rack. - For 5 to 10 year olds: Combine the passenger bars (Monkey Bars or EZ Monkey Bars) with two Mini Soft Spot cushions for a comfy seat, and add our Safety Belts for extra security. - To rest their legs: Don't forget the Compact AlloyBoards or SideBoards footrests so their feet are perfectly supported and protected.
Which add-ons are specially designed for the DRS?
Don't be fooled by its compact looks! The FastRack is a true longtail capable of carrying a maximum load of up to 200 kg (including the rider). Let your imagination run wild when loading your shopping or professional equipment!
The Regular comes stripped back to suit your needs. The Family Edition is school-run ready with its protection bars (Monkey Bars), rear deck (FastRack Deck) and 2 cushions (mini Soft Spot). The Active Edition is set up for carrying gear with the cargo net (DRS Wrap & Go), rear deck and front basket (Pot).
The FastRack is a family cargo bike designed to be shared! Its low step-over aluminium frame adjusts to perfectly fit all riders from 1.50m to 1.85m tall.
The FastRack is equipped with a high-performance 504Wh Shimano battery. Unlike other models, it is not integrated into the frame, making it extremely easy to clip on, unclip, and recharge at home or at the office. When it comes to range, there is no magic number. The battery life of your compact cargo bike varies depending on your environment and riding habits: The level of assistance chosen: If you use Boost mode to pull away quickly, the battery will drain much faster than if you stay in Eco mode. The total load on the bike: Carrying a passenger on the back or loading heavy packages requires more energy from the Shimano motor than riding empty. The terrain of your journeys: Tacking steep climbs consumes significantly more energy than a smooth ride on the flat. Weather conditions: Batteries do not like frost. In very cold winter weather, the overall range may experience a temporary reduction. Your pedalling cadence: A pedalling cadence that is too low (pushing too hard) strains the motor. Aim for a fast, steady spin to optimise battery life. Road conditions: Riding on perfectly smooth tarmac offers a much better range than cycling over city cobbles or dirt tracks. Cruising speed: Maintaining a high average speed continuously requires sustained electrical effort. Your Schwalbe tyre pressure: Under-inflated tyres increase rolling resistance, forcing the motor to draw more heavily on the battery. Wind strength: Riding into a strong headwind is like climbing an invisible hill and reduces the available mileage. On average, the actual range experienced on the FastRack is between 30 and 70 km, depending on your user profile.
